The Cricket in Times Square is a book about a cricket named Chester, a mouse named Tucker, and a cat named Harry.
Chester lived in Connecticut and got stuck in a sandwich inside a picnic basket. When he was finally able to get out of the basket, he found himself in the Times Square Subway Station in NYC. Mario Bellini, a boy who worked with his father in a newspaper stand, heard the chirping and was determined to find what it was. Mario was excited to find Chester and keeping him as a pet. Inside of the newspaper stand, Chester finds himself being friends with Tucker and Harry. They turn out to be best friends.
One day, Mario hears Chester sing and loves it! He gives Chester a beautiful cricket house, from Sai Fong's shop, to replace his matchbox bed with kleenex.
Later, a music teacher, friend of Papa Bellini, hears Chester singing and sends a letter about the cricket to the New York Times. When people read the newspaper, they come to the subway station to hear Chester singing. He becomes the most famous musician in New York City. After a while,  Chester is tired of singing in all the concerts. He wants to retire and go back to Connecticut. The next day, he goes back home by train.


Charlotte's Web was very touching book.
Fern Arable was a girl who lived with her parents and her brother Avery in a farm. One day, when Fern wakes up, she finds out her father is going to kill Wilbur, a loving piglet that was born too small. She begs her father not to kill the piglet and so, her father leaves her in charge of it.
Six months later,  Wilbur was too old to live in the Arables' farm so they sell the pig to Mr. Zuckerman, Fern's uncle. One day, Wilbur finds out that Mr. Zuckerman is going to kill him for Christmas. At that time, he meets a new friend, a spider called Charlotte. Charlotte has a plan to save Wilbur and so, she makes a web that says "some pig". The next day, the farm is packed with people taking pictures of the web and Wilbur. He becomes famous but it drowns out and so Charlotte writes again in the web but this time she writes the word "terrific." People come back again interested in the pig but soon their interest fades away. Charlotte writes again in her web. She writes "radiant". Later the Zuckerman's take Wilbur to the fair to a pig competition. Two days later, when they are still at the fair, Avery sees that another pig got the first place ribbon. Charlotte works hard to write for the last time. She writes "humble". All these words were words that Charlotte thought of Wilbur.  At night, Charlotte tells Wilbur she's going to die soon, and Wilbur takes care of the spider eggs she laid. When they are back at the barn, the spiders hatch, and for several days they just crawl around. Later they make silk in a shape of a ballon and fly away. Wilbur was chocked to know that they were going away, but he was happy that he met Charlotte's children. Three of them stayed in the barn and Wilbur got to name them. Wilbur was trembling with joy knowing that the spiders were staying in the barn. So, one of the spiders said her name would be "Joy". The second one was Aranea because Charlotte's middle name started with an A. The third one was named Nellie. Wilbur never forgot Charlotte.
