"Your mission should you choose to accept it" is a quote from Mission Impossible, but the fourth grade class feels this reading mission is a mission POSSIBLE. The goal--a read all day. The task--to read 18,900 pages by November 18. Students are already reading books that equal to 180-240 pages each week so they feel they can achieve this mission easily.
This new goal changes how the students should record their reading time in the space provided at the bottom of the page in their assignment notebook--instead of recording the time they read, students should record how many pages they read.
I know I'll be cheering them along in their mission possible!
