Because of Winn-Dixie

Because of Winn-Dixie is about a girl named Opal and her dog, Winn-Dixie. Her mother left her with her father the Preacher when she was 3. Opal’s father sent Opal to the supermarket to buy tomatoes. She saw a dog running when she entered. Every manager was chasing the dog. Opal felt bad for the dog because the dog had bald patches of fur. She named the dog Winn-Dixie. He smiled and wagged his tail. She took him home and asked her father if she could keep him. He said yes but you must take care of him and feed him. Opal and Winn-Dixie relate because their mothers left them by themselves. Winn-Dixie could understand Opal and what she says. Winn-Dixie helped to make Opal happy and helped her make friends. She met Sweetie Pie, Gloria Dump, Otis and Miss Franny. Winn-Dixie made everyone happy. I would recommend to this book to people who like dogs, especially Daniel.
