The new date for the Museum of Modern Art field trip will be on Tuesday, March 25. Students, teachers and chaperones will leave school at 8:30 a.m., and walk to the ferry at Hoboken/14th St. Terminal to the Midtown terminal. Upon arrival everyone will board a ferry bus to 53rd St. and 6th Ave. We will walk to the museum from there.
Students will participate in an art studio program, spending the first hour of the tour observing, discussing, drawing and writing about three or four works in the museum. Then students will use every day objects to create their own artwork.
We will catch the ferry bus near the MoMA, take the ferry back to Hoboken/14th St. Terminal, walk back to school and arrive in time for Worship.
Students will need a disposable snack, lunch, and a water bottle. They should dress comfortably for the weather, and wear shoes appropriate for walking.
