Using Computers and the Gmail Accounts Responsibly

Mr Choi visited our classroom today to help fourth graders understand their responsibilities with the computers and the technology we use. He reiterated that the computers belong to the school, not the students, and we are to treat them well.  He added an explanation of how the server works, and where our school information is stored.

Mr. Choi also explained that using their gmail accounts is a reflection on the school and themselves. Students are supposed to use it in positive way. He added that having a gmail account is a privilege, but not a right. We want the students to use them in a responsible and positive manner. The consequence for abusing the account is that it will be suspended, and students will then be expected to do their google account work by hand.

The students felt the seriousness of the conversation, and their words reflected that they pledge to do what Mr. Choi asked them to do.
