American Boychoir School to work with Choristers

On Friday, March 1 we are thrilled to welcome the American Boychoir Training Choir (ABTC) from American Boychoir School come and visit our school.  American Boychoir School is a boarding school in Princeton NJ, where auditioned boys of age 9-14 attend.  The boys travel 4 major tours (2-3 weeks each tour) and performs over a hundred concerts each year.  This year they are celebrating their 75th anniversary.  

ABTC is where the boys in their first year performs.  They spend a year training under Fred Meads, the Director of Vocal Studies at American Boychoir School and prepare themselves to become a member of the Concert Choir, which is the traveling group.  We are so excited that they are coming to sing with the Mustard Seed School children.

On March 1, the children will spend the afternoon working with Mr. Fred Meads rehearsing the pieces they prepared for that day.  We will end the day with a concert at Our Lady Of Grace Church at 2 p.m. joined not only by the ABTC but also All Saints Episcopal Day School 4th Grade Choir, The Hudson School High School Chorus and also the Hudson School 5th and 6th grade chorus.  It will be a wonderful afternoon of music making!  

The concert is open to everyone.  You are all invited to attend.  Please read the following carefully for your Choristers.

All 4th and 5th graders will be attending as the Choristers.  Some 5th graders will also perform as the PROS.

Students should wear the "All In A Garden" Spring Concert t-shirt with a solid bottom.  The students have been told to look for them already in music class.  If your child does not have one, please let me know asap.  If you have extra one in your house (perhaps the older siblings?) we would LOVE to borrow them.  If they are labeled clearly we will give them back.

The dismissal time will be at 3, as always.

The concert is free and is open to public.  Feel free to bring guests.
