Stamp Out Despair--A Service Project

For the next two weeks, the first grade classes will be collecting stamps, stationery, envelopes, and two-pocket folders for the Stamp Out Despair campaign. This campaign has the goal of collecting letter-writing materials to distribute to people being detained in immigration facilities in our area. These people are often far from home, far from family and friends, without the means to communicate by telephone or computer, and without the resources to send letters. Our hope is to alleviate some of the feelings of isolation they experience by providing them materials to send letters. 

Stamps, folders, stationery, and envelopes can be brought to the baskets in the community room or to the first grade classroom until Friday, May 23. Please email Ms. Brasser with questions at bbrasser@mustardseedschool.org.
