And Remember, I am With You Always, to the End of the Age

If you ask most Upper School students what they remember about the Ascension celebration it will probably be some version of these words. These words are actually the last line in the book of Matthew, and are Jesus' words to the 11 disciples before he ascended into Heaven, and are part of the "Great Commission." Jesus is sending out his followers to go and tell others.

The fourth grade presents this celebration by sharing the Great Commission words and other words of Scripture encouraging those in attendance to be bold and brave, and to know that God is with us always as we endeavor to spread the light and love of Christ.

The Ascension Celebration will be Thursday, May 29, at 11 a.m. in the gym. As a part of the celebration, the fourth grade students will wear white and blue. Also, fourth graders have received their memorization assignments, and we will begin practicing next week. It is my hope that these students will be bold in their sharing, and loudly proclaim the word of Christ.
