The Trip to MoMath

On Friday, we went to a museum called MoMath. It was a museum that you could actually touch stuff. There was a wall of lasers that proves that you can make squares with triangles, and things like that.

We had a class on geometry at MoMath. There were pieces of paper we cut and made into ridiculous shapes. It was mind-bending and was a bit misleading to me because of the shapes.

After the lesson, we split up and explored the museum. There was this maze that had a pattern that you use to get out. It was red, white, blue. You do that pattern to move through the walls.

Next, we went upstairs and explored more. There was a place where you could create your own object. The owners of MoMath chose the best creation of the day and the only way to enter it is to find your tag with your shapes.

Lastly, when you return your tags, there is this box that you drop them through. there was a little box at the bottom that if you drop your tag in it, you win a t-shirt. Sadly, they don’t allow it on field trips (which is a pretty bad rule if you ask me).

So, that was pretty much what we did for the field trip. Yes, I was tired because of all the learning. I was as wobbly as jello on the way home.

MoMATH

      For a field trip my class went to MoMATH.

We had lots of fun with shapes ETC. We rode bicycles with square wheels. It was very bumpy.

In the first floor, there was an electronic maze where there were red, white, and blue balloons. You have to step over the balloons in this order: red, white, blue.

I did the maze like 10 times.

On the top floor, the had a roller coaster. They had really fun stuff. After that, we had lunch at a park.

MoMath

Last Friday we went to the museum named MoMath. Sadly, it was raining. The MoMath  is near  Madison Square Park. As we walked in, they that this mechanical wall that moved. It was so cool! It did different patterns.

Then we got little tags, and we went down to the lower level. There was a red laser that you could walk through where you could take clear shapes and you can see through. Then we got to walk through a maze and it was really hard to get through. Then on that same floor there were all of these puzzles to figure out.
