Students are reading more and more, and sustaining reading silently for longer periods of time. In our classroom, we set a goal to earn a read all day. We surpassed it! We've read more than 25,000 pages and continue to add more!
Our Read All Day will be Thursday, Nov. 21. We will also have snacks of popcorn and pretzels, and lemonade for drink. Students may bring 1 stuffed animal, and any reading materials they'd like to read (magazines, comics, newspapers, books, etc--no Kindle or other electronic devices). Anything they bring, they have to be able to carry up and down the stairs on their own.
We cannot bring pillows and blankets, but we will build forts to read in, with paper materials at school.
We are so excited and proud of our accomplishment!
