In the 21st Century, a time that calls for endless innovation, individual creativity is not enough.  This is a time for shared spaces where collaborative communities play with ideas, think outside the box, and problem solve in actual and virtual arenas.  How do you teach creativity that leads to world changing design?  How does child's play lead to innovation? What kind of learning nurtures a global perspective?  These are questions that will drive our conversation when we gather at Mustard Seed with Steven's Institute professor Keith Sheppard and Mustard Seed teachers Melissa McCallihan, Sam Choi, and Clara Buckley.

Dr. Keith G. Sheppard is Associate Dean of Engineering & Science in the Charles V. Schaefer Jr. School of Engineering & Science at Stevens Institute of Technology where he is also a professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering & Material Science.
