Midterm reports will be mailed this week, and you should receive them by this weekend. The first midterm report has some information on your child's progress academically. However, the bulk of the midterm is about cognitive and work skills including:
* active listening: does your child attend well, understand the information shared, and respond appropriately.
* Leadership: in positive directions
* Self-regulation: which includes self control, initiative, independence, planning, etc.
* Respect: for teachers and peers
* Collaboration and cooperation
* Organization of time and materials
* Responsibility
* Planning and thinking ahead.
Specialists may have included a note as well, but not every midterm note will have a specialist comment.
