Freckle Juice is about a kid who wants freckles. A girl named Sharon gives him a "freckle juice" recipe for 50 cents. Now, he thinks that's a lot of money but he really wanted freckles. At the end he did not get freckles at all, he just got really sick. His skin turned completely green.

The author uses really describing words like ick, terrible, good heavens and absolutely.
