The Secret Garden

When you imagine a "secret garden" what comes to mind? One with walls that have climbing roses perhaps? Or one with no boundaries, and loosely organized? Perhaps you would add a pond, or a fountain. In Shared Space Extension students learned a new clay technique, scoring the clay before using slip to connect, and created their secret garden. They were inspired by our class read aloud, The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. These sculptures are displayed in the Upper School stairwell. Please check out our art work.
